Uses Of Lasers In The Glass Industry (In French)

For over 20 years, industrial lasers have been used in the glass industry. Crystal companies use powerful CO2 lasers, using low-power lasers to identify their glasses or to decorate. Perfume industries use lasers to control their market and to fight against parallel sales. Optic industries are already equipped with Excimer lasers to realise invisible micro characters or logos to identify or align their products. General glass industries (like Philips or Osram) use lasers to pre-cut glass materials or to treat the surface. This article presents a new generation of industrial lasers.
