Tried And Tested

Over the years, the pharmaceutical industry has changed dramatically, now driven by global players & blue chip brands. As the sector has evolved, so have the companies that supply glass bottles for pharmaceutical products. The industry is now faster paced with rapid turnover & in response, packaging suppliers have had to develop a more flexible approach. Logistically, the concept "just in time" is becoming common practise. Here, a company holds no stock but advises about its requirements on a daily basis & the current containers are delivered to the filling line within 24h. To combat the trend towards plastics packaging, glass container manufacturers now need to offer customers' a total packaging solution including everything from initial design to decorative & labelling techniques, as well as caps & closures. Glass is still the most trusted packaging tool for pharmaceutical products. Totally inert, the material protects the contents from the environment until they are ready for consumption.
