The Transfer Of Glass - Part 3: Transfer Of Glsas From A Contaminated Person To Another Uncontaminated Person During A Ride In A Car

The possible transfer of glass between a person who has broken a window and another person has been investigated. Experiments were designed so that the breaker was in close contact with a second person during a car ride. Out of a total of 15 experimental runs, only one fragment of glass was recovered from the garments of the second person, although occasional fragments were removed from the car seat after an individual journey. It is possible for glass to be transferred from a person with glass on them to a person with no glass on them, but it appeared very unlikely that large numbers of glass fragments will be transferred. In this study, only a single glass fragment may have been transferred.
