Thermal Stability And Microheterogeneous Structure Of Selenite Glasses

The aim of the work is to study the selected multicomponent selenite glasses additionally containing other non-traditional glass formers such as V2O5, TeO2 and MoO3. Heat treatment of selenite glasses containing silver ions leads to decreasing of the transmittance in the visible spectral range. The formation of silver nanocrystals is the reason for this phenomenon. By x-ray phase analysis the presence crystalline MoO3, V2O5 and silver was established in the heat treated samples, while SeO2 remains in the amorphous matrix.
