Testing, Inspection And The Production Of Quality Containers

In the past, testing programs were geared towards removing defective ware from the manufacturing line. Modern testing systems, laboratory automation, sampling systems and process control makes it possible for testing programs to play a much different role and actually contribute to a plant's profitability. The purpose of this paper is to provide a brief overview of some of the things that can be done now and in the future by way of line evaluation, testing equipment, laboratory automation and process control to help maximise packed ware and improve plant efficiency.
