Testing The Effectiveness Of Coatings Applications

Today, coatings are a key factor in extracting peak performance out of lightweight bottles. The glass container industry currently uses two coating processes; one is applied in the hot end prior to bottles entering the lehr, and the second in the cold end as bottles leave the lehr. In this article, the author review the process sand methods used for testing the effectiveness of applications of glass container coatings.
