Temperature Stresses In Heat-Absorbing Glass

Model studies with different heat-transfer conditions with reference to the shade boundary are reported. Recommendations for improving the service performance of Soviet heat-absorbing glasses are made on the basis of the results. These include tighter specifications of edge quality, preservation in transport, and siting of blinds to avoid uneven heating.
