Temperature Dependance Of Visible Fluorescence Of Thilium (3+) Ions In Borate, Phosphate, Germante, And Tellurite Glasses.

The absorption emission spectra of Tm3+ were measured in borate, phosphate, germanate, and tellurite glasses. Energy transfer from tellurite glass to Tm3+ was observed. The fluorescence of Tm3+ from the D2 level increases with decrease of temp. in tellurite, germante and phosphate glasses, and increases with with increase in temperature in borate glasses.
