Technology Meets Tradition In New Tool For Glass Blowers

Collaberation between technology experts, Bedogni, and Crystalworks Nuova CEV, has resulted in the invention of a new tool for glass blowers: a machine which can assist in the traditional art of mouth blowing without losing the artist's creative touch. Already tested by the glass blowers at Nuova CEV, the "mouth-blowing machine" will be available from January 2000. In this paper the author explains its conception and operation.
