Glass is often regarded by some as no more than a commodity, and people take its unique qualities for granted: It is 100% recyclable, and an undisputed pioneer in the modern history of recycling. In fact, glass boasts the unique closed-loop system, which endlessly brings collected bottles to be recycled into a new production cycle. What other materials can claim these benefits? Ample material was, therefore, available for FEVE to launched their "Friends of Glass" initiative. From the results of a large scale survey on consumers' perception of packaging it was already clear that three quarters of people largely prefer glass for the reasons stated earlier.
