A Summary Of The Second International Conference On Borate Glasses, Crystals And Melts

The Second International Conference on Borate Glasses, Crystals and Melts was held 22-25 July 1996 at the Cosener's House in Abingdon, UK. The meeting was held in honour of Prof P J Bray's notable contributions to the field, specifically in the area of magnetic resonance. The conference was divided into 13 sessions spanning a range of topics from structure to spectroscopy; thermodynamics to industrial and technological applications. In all there were 66 presentations on borates given and several of the most discussed topics are examined in this review.
