The Strength Of Ceramics

This review is concerned with high strength ceramics, particularly those with possible high temperature applications, including oxides, nitrides and carbides. The aim is to provide a unified materials science approach to strength which can be applied to promote a fundamental understanding of the strength of any ceramic material. Data are chosen highly selectively where fundamental understanding is good; for more general views the reader is referred to other referenced articles.
