Simulation Of A Tv Glass Refiner Using Coupled Combustion And Glass Flow Models

Fluid flow and heat transfer in both the combustion space and glass bath of a circular TV panel refiner was simulated to evaluate the effect of combustion space heating and cooling on glass flow and temperatures. FLUENT software was used to simulate both the glass and the combustion space. Two separate models, one for the combustion space and one for the glass, were coupled by passing boundary conditions between the models.
