UK Emissions Trading (ET) Scheme is to be introduced in April 2002. This article gives an overview of the scheme and then describes a number of the issues of particular importance to the UK glass industry. Many of these issues will be of interest to glass manufacturers in other countries which are proposing to introduce similar emissions trading schemes.
