Saving Energy, Improving Glass

Throughout Europe, Governments are taking an active interest in helping the glass industry find ways of saving energy. Since 1990, the European Commission has supported the Thermie programme which promotes energy technology in four main areas: Rational use of energy; renewable energy sources; solid fuels; and hydrocarbons.
