The "Rpr" Process For Repairing Silica Lining In Glass Furnaces

FIB's "RPR" (Reactive Projection for Repair) system produces thick and dense silica based coatings for repairing degraded silica parts of glass furnace superstructure. The choice of composition insures a strong bonding between the old masonry and the repair material whose properties are at least as good as those of the initial bricks. Comparision between several refractories shows that the material presents a high corrosion resistance and provides a real improvement of glass furnace life duration.
