Removing Heavy Metals From Glass Enamels

Recent legislation concerning heavy metals containing enamels used to decorate glass raises the pressure on suppliers to develop new colour systems capable of matching the performance of lead and cadmium containing colours. However, as is outlined in this paper, despite a great deal of research, all of the current alternatives require some level of compromise.
