Regenerative Burners And The Glass Industry

A regenerative ceramic burner system comprises two burners which fire alternately, associated with regenerators containing a packed bed of small ceramic spheres which act to transfer heat to the incoming gas stream. Significant reductions in NOx and CO2 emissions and improvements (40-60%) in operating efficiency can be achieved.
