Redox Measurements In Container Glass

The amount of recycled cullet used in container glass furnaces has increased drastically in the last decade. To meet the customer's demands for higher quality, and maintaining stable glass colour BSN, in collaboration with Heraeus Electro-Nite and TNO-TPD, has developed a fast and reproducible method to characterize and quantify the redox state of recycled cullet and also the redox state of glass products. This method is now applied on a routine basis in many of BSN's factories.
