Properties Of Ge-Si-As-Se-Te-N Chalconitride Glasses As Infrared Transmitting Materials

The development and application of chalcogenide glasses has been impeded generally by their lower strength due to the weaker bonding of chalcogenide glasses and the influence of impurities on the transparency of the glass. In this study a new family of nitrogen containing chalcogenide glass materials was developed - chalconitride glasses that no one may have so far attempted.
