The Next Step In The Evolution Of The Doghouse

The evolutionary improvement in the doghouse presented in this paper addresses some of the known problems that face the industry today. When considering glass melting furnaces, two areas have consistently caused concern for years: the throat and the doghouse. One of the main reasons for these concerns is that these areas are subjected to the highest levels of stress. This paper concentrates on the doghouse, but will also comment on the throat.
