Material research has been the corner stone of Emhart's refractory business for over 50 years. During this period, many of today's industry standard refractory mixes were derived from the company's technology. These mixes include the world renowned "refractory 333" mix that is the current standard for container glass industry applications for feeder tubes and spout refractories. Developed many years ago, this refractory is today the mix that all others are judged against.
