Molten Glass Dynamics In Three-Dimensional Cooling Channels

The application of three-dimensional computer simulation to forehearth design from the perspective of the applied glass process engineer is illustrated. The design variables studied are glass viscosity, effective thermal conductivity, flow rate, boundary heat losses, and channel cross-section.
