A Model Test For Improving The Construction Of A Float Glass Tank Furnace

A study of the depth of the tank and mechanical stirring was carried out by physical modelling together with an investigation of glass temperature, velocity and flow distribution using partition devices. Suggestions are made for improving the design and energy efficiency of float tanks on the basis of the results obtained.
