Measuring And Modelling Combustion In Glass Melting Furnaces

Small increases in combustion efficiency can result in major savings in energy costs for glass manufacturers. However, enhancements in the combustion process often result in higher pollutants in the exhaust. The ability to predict the combustion process provides a viable alternative to physical prototyping in the exploration of new furnace combustion technologies.
