Materials Used In The Decoration Of Ceramics

The Ferro Corporation, based in Cleveland, Ohio, is the world's largest supplier of specialty pigments and coatings, with production facilities in more than 20 countries. This article briefly describes the range of colours used for decoration by all sections of the ceramics induslty. The recent research and development work to remove lead, cadmium and mercury from fluxes and pigments is briefly reviewed.
