Arkema has been in the business of glass coatings for over 30 years, with its initial coating technology applied to glass containers to improve scratch resistance. The company's Certincoat glass coating technology was extended to the flat glass industry in the 1980s, using technologies developed at its research and development complex in King of Prussia, PA, USA.
