Lime In The Depuration Of Glass Plant Flue Gas

Acid substances contained in exhaust gases are generally dry neutralized using lime as a reagent. To optimize the absorption processes it is necessary to take into account a number of important parameters, such as the optimum reaction temperature, the minimum waste gases-lime contact time and the right dosage of lime as a function of the concentration of the various acid components. The paper also reports some data relative to dimensioning and the features of lime storage equipment.
