Jurassic Glass

It is estimated that over 1.5M tonnes of waste glass bottles and jars are sent to landfill waste sites in the UK every year, yet glass container manufacturers in Britain are being forced to import cullet because there is an insufficient supply of glass collected. This paper argues that the situation could be resolved quite simply if the infrastructure and the waste collection methods were changed to become more efficient.
