Inventions For Hot End Handling

The requirements on today's glass industry for hot end ware handling are a real challenge for the traditional silent chain. Rexroth has invented a simple and resourceful solution to weld pins within the outer link plates. At the end of 2001, the first machine conveyer went into operation and over the past 4 years, this new tooth chain design has proven both its reliability a and its technical superiority. The use of laser welded chains reduces later wear and considerably improves the guiding features on high-speed machines. This article looks at other recent improvements made to conveyor chain designs.
