An Innovative Point Fixing Device For Architectural Glazing, From Concept To Application

The safety performance of structural laminated glass panels is generally nullified if the link to the rear load-bearing structure is not able to retain the panels after glass breakage. To overcome this difficulty, an innovative point-fixing system that exploits the mechanical properties of ionoplast polymer interlayers has been developed. Performance test confirm that laminated glass connected with the new device exhibits a noteworthy resistance and interesting post-glass-breakage performances.
