Improving Hot End Performance Using Synthetics To Meet Stringent Demands

This article examines glassworks hot end lubricants, which have to perform in an extremely severe environment where ever more demands are placed on them. Synthetic lubricants have become of the leaders in meeting and exceeding these expectations. Recent testing at one of Europe's largest container manufacturers has shown reduced consumption rates of up to 70%, compared with the standard mineral oil product formerly used.
