In this paper the European container federation, FEVE, provides an overview of how glass is regaining stature as a packaging material of choice for the food industry. In addition, it questions whether the proposed, all-encompassing EU directive regarding the recycling of glass is, in point of fact, fair on the industry - which, over the last quarter of a century has typically been at the forefront of conservation measures.
