German Glass Industry Economic Trends

According to the German Federal Statistics Office, revenue increased by 3.9% in 2011, due predominantly to growth in the first half of the year. In subsequent months, the growth curve flattened out and revenue settled at a constant level. Although the German glass industry was unable to sustain the rapid growth trend of 2010 (10.7%), it continued to generate growth in 2011, suggests the Federal Association of the German Glass Industry.
