Full Cavity Nickel Alloy Coating For Glass Container Mould Equipment

Responding to a specific request from a glass container manufacturer who was looking to reduce operating mould equipment costs, BRK, together with a group of its suppliers, have studied and developed a mould coating and application process aimed at improving mould life. This article describes the development and the results of the mould coating, called Protec GM, which go beyond the original objective of longer mould life and offer to container manufacturers other important benefits to the glass forming process that help to reduce overall production costs.
