There is widespread consensus among glass technology experts that the capability of monitoring, analysing and reacting promptly to temperature fluctuations in the glass stream of the forehearth represents one of the most critical factors for ensuring consistently high quality ware. In this paper, the author reviews how a patented glass conditioning and temperature equalising forehearth as well as attendant technology is being employed to meet a wide range of industry challenges.
