Fluorophosphate Glasses.

This relates to flurophosphate glasses having relatively high refractive indices and small dispersions melted from a mix consisting essentially (mol%) of 70 to 85 fluorides of alkaline earth metals selected from Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba, 10-25 of metaphosphate of metals selected from Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba and Al, and up to 10 of at least one of the compounds KAsO3, K2TaF7 and K2TiF6.
