Sustainable and rapid development of the Chinese economy has propelled the fast development of China's glass industry. In 2006, overall output of flat glass in China reached 23.3M/tons, accounting for around 42% of the world's total. China requires advanced technologies and equipment, and its glass production techniques and processing machinery have reached a fairly high level. This article describes the current situation within the Chinese flat glass sector.
