Have you ever talked to a glass botlte....? Possibly, after a few glasses of good wine, but probably never with bottles on the supermarket shelves and it wasn't a discussion about recycling! That's why the challenge undertaken by Friends of Glass last year was more a crazy bet than an challenge. The bet was won! Some 44m people have directly engaged with the "talking bottle" pranks and campaign messages. This was such a striking success that the industry decided to continue the campaign throughout 2017. Is this increasing consumer awareness about the assets of glass? A recent large-scale customer survey suggests it is.
