Emission Reducing Combustion Technologies For Glass Melting

Regenerative glass melters use extremely high air-preheat temperatures usually resulting in high emissions levels. These furnaces will most likely be a target of any environmental regulations throughtout the Asia Pacific region here in the future. Many other areas of the world already have stringent air pollution regulations in place. In this paper the author reviews the results of emissoin-reducing development work carried out by Combustion Tec and others.
