Electron Beam Melted Molybdenum Applied In Glass Melting Electrodes

Electron beam melted molybdenum electrodes have been used successfully in glass melting furnaces for more than 30 years. They are used in the form of rod-type electrodes with different diameters and in the form of block electrodes and as top electrodes in fully electrically heated glass melting furnaces and in cases of additional electrically heating in gas heated furnaces. As a result of the newly developed electrodes with a reduced proportion of gas forming components, molybdenum electrodes are available that are suitable for all areas of melting technology.
