Since its formation in 1976, Electroglass has specialised in the development, design and supply of electric glass melting systems and equipment. In this article, the author focuses on the design features necessary for successful and energy efficient electric melting of volatile glasses and coloured soda-lime glasses, with examples of installations and performance data.
