Electric Glass Melting With Low-Frequency Current

The use of a frequency converter for converting the mains frequency into a lower one has been shown to facilitate the application of molybdenum electrodes for melting 24% PbO lead crystal glass in a furnace of capacity 12 tonnes/day.
