Economics Drive The Conversion Of Glass Tanks To Oxy-Fuel

The economics of oxy-fuel glass melting are compared to that of air-based operations. An econometric model is used to quantify the economics for the key benefits associated with oxy-fuel firing. Field data from six oxy-fuel conversions are used to confirm the benefits and justify conversion from air-firing to oxy-fuel glass melting.
