Definition And Classification Of A Qualtiy Measure For Ground Edges

A basic necessity to optimise the grinding process is a quality measure for ground C-edges. By applying this measure to a representative sample of manufactured edges, process modifications can be performed to increase the actual value of this measure and thus the whole grinding process. So far, the judgement of the quality of the grinding process has more or less been done by experts inspecting the ground C-edges qualitatively. Bystronic, in co-operation with several automotive glass producers, has defined a simple quantitative quality measure for such edges.
