Cost-Effective Nox Reductions

Six American entitites have undertaken a programme to develop a retrofit second generation NOx control technology for natural gas-fired regenerative glass melters. This article gives a detailed account of field evaluation tests on two furnaces. Focusing on the oxygen-enriched air stageing (OEAS) technology, retrofit feasibility, costs, and computational fluid dynamics.
