Conditioning For Good Gobs

Conditioning is generally perceived as a process of removing or introducing heat from/to the glass mass in order to allow preparation of the good gobs for the job. Frequently on today's high output production lines which suffer from too hot glass, the main problem is how to cool down the mean glass temperature before entering the forehearth, but without sacrificing thermal homogeneity/efficiency which still remains the paramount target. This article explains some of FIC's experiences on how to achieve both targets.
