Compliance With Harmonised European Norms (Hens)

The European building products market is operating under the EU Construction Products Directive (CPD). The Directive states that when a product conforms to a harmonised European Standard (hEN) it may be CE marked. This article attempts to end confusion over what this means and also lists current harmonised European Standards; harmonised European Standards awaiting finalisation; and Essential characteristics covered by the hENs for glass products.
