Clear Skies Ahead?

Much of the environmental legislation affecting UK glassmakers is passed in response to directives from the EU. Regulations are already in force in most member states to meet existing directives and they are being augmented to meet the requirements of new directives. The principal developments in legislation and regulations are reviewed in this paper and their impact on glassmakers is assessed.
