Cathode Ray Tube (Crt) Glass Valorization - Part 1: Characterization Of The Deposit (In French)

Solutions to develop ways of valorization of CRT glasses require characterisation of the materials. Density, glass transition temperature, linear coefficient of thermal dilation are determined. Chemical composition of these glasses is also of real interest and work has been carried out on the fraction of heavy elements contained in such glasses. This data has led to new ways to determine valorization and especially the way in which the TRC glass deposit could be treated in order to answer EU legislation. Foam glass could be a possible solution to covert CRT glasses in a material with very promising properties. The second part of this paper the first characterisation carried out on foam glass synthesized from CRT glasses is presented.
